Auckland Golf Club Irrigation Upgrade

The first and most difficult stage of Auckland Golf Club’s irrigation upgrade was completed in early July. Installation of the new Grundfos TurfPro pump station and lake inlet system involved an enormous amount of mud – as the photos show.
Most of our Auckland based irrigation team was called out to play in the mud at one point or the other, Mark Andrews (Irrigation Service Technician) loved it so much he went and snapped his leg to avoid working on stage 2 – nice one Mark!
This spring, Parkland will complete the project - installing a new 20,000 metre reticulation system and 800 new sprinklers, including Toro’s 600 new DT series golf heads. Every green and fairway sprinkler will be individually controlled. The Toro SitePro control system includes an advanced interface for pump monitoring, a Campbell Scientific weather station, hand held radio and “Prism” palm pilot control.
