Chris Todd, managing director of Parkland Products, the new sponsor for the championship, donated the plaque after learning a similar award had been long-standing at the national men’s inter-provincial tournament.
Cho, 13, in her first appearance in the top spot, had six wins, a half and a loss. She included New Zealand representatives, Zoe Brake and Caroline Bon among her wins, and her only half was against former professional Catherine Knight.
Other players with unbeaten records were 11-year-old North Harbour newcomer, Lydia Ko, who had six wins and a half, and seasoned Southlander, Robyn Pullar, at No. 3, finished with five wins and two halves. |
