Ideal for lawns up to 200 square metres, the Toro eMulticycler™ eL36PST Battery Mower starts with the push of a button and can be set for bagging or recycling. The 36 cm cutting width covers a lot of ground while maintaining excellent manoeuvrability. The Flex Force Power System™ includes a 600W brushless 60V MAX* motor, free of engine exhaust emissions. The RunSmart™ Software maximises run time and performance by automatically adjusting the speed of the motor to match the conditions. The upright SmartStow® feature saves storage space and provides easy access for cleaning under the deck. Best of all, your 60 Volt battery is compatible with all the other products in the Flex-Force battery-powered line-up. L135 battery (2.5 amp-hour, 135 watt-hour) and charger included.

Is a self-propelled (Personal Pace) mower necessary for large properties?

For large properties, a self-propelled mower can significantly reduce the effort required to maintain your lawn, especially if the terrain is uneven or sloped. While push mowers require more physical effort, a self-propelled mower moves on its own, allowing the user to guide it with minimal effort. This feature is particularly beneficial for large properties, as it saves time and reduces fatigue when mowing expansive areas.

Toro’s Personal Pace Technology makes self-propelled mowers even more convenient by automatically adjusting to your walking speed. This system senses your pace and adjusts the mower’s speed accordingly, ensuring comfort and control while mowing. This is especially useful for large lawns, as you can maintain a steady rhythm without having to constantly manage the mower’s speed manually.

In addition to ease of use, self-propelled mowers like those from Toro with Personal Pace technology are great for large properties because they handle varying terrains effortlessly. For properties with slopes or uneven ground, the Personal Pace system ensures smooth navigation, reducing strain on the operator

How can mulching improve my lawn’s soil and reduce water usage?

Mulched grass clippings improve soil structure by adding organic matter, which enhances the soil’s water absorption by up to 12%. This means less water is needed to keep your lawn healthy, making mulching a great choice in areas with water restrictions. Toro mowers with Vortex Technology increase airflow to the deck, ensuring clippings decompose quickly and effectively.

How does mulching help control weeds?

Mulching with Toro’s Recycler® Technology creates a natural barrier that helps prevent weed seeds from reaching the soil, reducing the chances of weed growth. Regular mulching also promotes thicker, healthier grass, which can outcompete weeds, further minimizing their spread.

NOTE: If your lawn already has large sections of weeds, mulching could inadvertently spread weed seeds. In such cases, it’s better to bag the clippings to avoid spreading those weeds to other areas. Once the weeds are under control, you can return to mulching to promote a healthier lawn.

Can Toro mowers mulch in wet conditions, and when should I bag clippings instead?

While Toro Recycler® mowers handle light moisture well, mulching wet grass is generally less effective due to clumping. In certain cases, like when the lawn is diseased or has an abundance of weeds, it’s better to bag clippings to prevent spreading issues. For best results, mulch when the grass is dry and remove only one-third of the grass blade at a time to avoid damaging your lawn.
