The Grillo FD1309 has several unique technical features that set it apart from other grass collection commercial landscape mowers.
4WD System.
The integral permanent 4WD system allows users to work in excellent safety conditions on any slope.
No fan or turbine deck chute charge accelerator.
The FD 13.09 operates with significantly less noise and fewer blockages, due to its highly efficient fan-less deck chute charge accelerator. The efficiency of the charge accelerator also allows cutting in extreme conditions (such as long and humid grass), typical of spring mows.
Grass collection system.
The FD13.09 also has an extremely capable leaf and debris collection system, keeping your lawn areas spotless. The grass catcher is equipped with an oscillating baffle, evenly distributing cut grass throughout the bin and maximum fill capacity. Once full, a sensor stops the blades thereby avoiding any blockage of the collection chute.
Additional cutting decks.
Apart from the standard 132cm (52″) collection cutter deck other decks are also available. Cutter deck MP 130 cm with three blades and twin functions: rear discharge or mulching by simply moving a lever, whilst the cutter deck LMP 160 cm with three blades and triple functions: side discharge, rear discharge and mulch. There is also available an all purpose 135cm flail deck with a blades scarifier kit and a 150 cm hydraulically operated snow blade.
Description
Despite its extremely large grass bin, the FD1309 is compact in size. It is highly agile thanks to the hydraulic-powered 4WD steering system (turning radius of 31 cm) coupled with a small wheelbase for extraordinary manoeuvrability in narrow spaces. There are also no problems mounting curbs, footpaths or roundabouts, as the out-front cutter deck can be hydraulically lifted to get over obstacles.
The FD 13.09 has excellent weight distribution which maximises stability and safety when cutting on steep slopes or transversely across inclined hillsides. The pivoting rear axle allows drive to all 4 wheels even when cutting on uneven ground.
Hydraulics are used to achieve a step-less cutting height and to lift the grass bin to a height of two metres, perfect for dumping the grass into trucks.
The Yanmar diesel engine is liquid-cooled with a self-cleaning radiator and the electric fan can reverse its rotation in order to remove grass and debris from the radiator.
Comfort has been carefully considered in the design, and the FD13.09 contains a wide, comfortable and adjustable driving seat that is dampened and fitted with arm-rests.
