Gearbox and Control
The mechanic gearbox with gears in oil bath, 3 forward and 3 reverse gears allows a speed of 3,5 km/h. All control levers of the Dumper 406 are ergonomic and easy to use.
The levers were designed to reduce the necessary force of activation; the result is practical and simple to operate controls.
Steering
The steering system of the Dumper 406 developed by Grillo allows modulating gradually the drive and by acting on the steering levers. Dumper 406 can make very tight curves by keeping one rubber track locked as well as with a modulated radius also a wide radius. It’s that easy!
During the first movement of a steering lever traction is taken away from one of the two steering levers and, by continuing the movement, you will progressively slowdown the rubber track by means of the brake drum. This is the secret of the Dumper 406’s extreme maneuverability.
Reliable, long lasting and safe
The Dumper 406’s rubber tracks are supported by steel rollers mounted on bushings and grease points. These are very important features to ensure high reliability and longevity over the years. The rubber track’s front inclination favors surpassing steps and obstacles of whatever kind.
Dumper 406 is a safe machine! It’s possible to stop the Dumper 406 quickly at all times by simply releasing the control lever. The automatic brake of the carrier will activate immediately ensuring an immediate stop even with a maximum load and also on slopes up to 48%!
Description
The Dumper 406 is a compact and fast-tracked carrier, suitable for transporting a great variety of materials in several different sectors (such as agriculture, vineyards, landscape etc).
It has a loading capacity of 400 kg, which is obtainable under a variety of working conditions. This machine is built to last, with a steel floor on the load board and sideboards. The tracks are mounted on steel rollers with bushings equipped with greasers and the track tension can be adjusted via a spring.
This carrier has a modern and reliable 196 cc petrol engine equipped with an easy-to-operate and effective recoil starter. The engine powers the fully mechanical transmission. The gearbox has three forward gears with a maximum speed of 3.5 km/h plus three reverse gears.
Grillo has designed the Dumper range to provide the operator with great control and comfort. It has an automatic parking brake and will stop and remain steadily braked even on slopes once the forward lever is released.
